PAINT COMING OFF AROUND KNOBS
I would not recommend this product. After not even owning the cook top for a year, cleaning it exactly as the manual explains and not really using it much, THE PAINT IS PEELING AROUND THE KNOBS. GEs customer support would only offer me touch up paint. They expectec me to paint on what was peeled off. Seriously??

On going disaster through best buy.
The product is fine. I wouldn’t purchase from Best Buy ever again because they use third party delivery systems. Best Buy employees have no way to contact the parties they contract with and the numbers provided to customers are also different 3rd party employees of other companies. Hence no one takes accountability for the mistakes made. We purchased a double oven, the employee of the third party company broke the frame of my cabinetry at installation and attempted to repair it with super glue. The third party owner of the company who installed the oven has accused me of making it up and…

Amazing, with one more nit.
This cooktop is amazingly premium. The knobs rotate in well weighted fashion, and the LED lighting indicating when a knob has been rotated on is a nice touch. The center burner is crazy powerful — more than 2x more heat than our old oven. The only nit I have is that you rotate the knobs counter-clockwise to turn them on, instead of clockwise, which is opposite every other cooktop or range I’ve ever used. It’ll take a while to get used to that.

Finish coming off of the knobs!
I love the look of CAFE on my platinum glass refrigerator. The knobs on this one are already staring to lose their finish after less than a year and I think we cook a lot less than most. We love our refrigerator but would go another direction if I could now.

Amazing!
Lots of room for multiple pots and pans. Heats cookware evenly. Variety of burner sizes. The one level cooking grate creates a greater surface are for cookware. I have not used the griddle yet but love that option. It is heavy weight cast iron and will last a lifetime. Griddle fits perfectly and securely on the grate. I changed the knobs to brush copper. Love the option to change finish of knobs. it looks beautiful!

When we purchased our previous GE Monogram cook top, only four burners were available. With this new Cafe cook top, its the best of both worlds - the level of burner control from our previous Monogram with the addition of the fifth burner. In addition, the center burner provides more BTU’s than what was available on the previous cook top. Very pleased with the purchase.
