Misrepresented
I purchased the icemaker and was told that it was all compatible with the refrigerator that I got from Best Buy. They sent the installers out and when they were finished, they told me if it doesn’t make ice in 24 hours, call us. It never made any ice. They sent another repair person who told me that the water was never connected but they didn’t have the part to connect it . They then sent a brand new icemaker and had it reinstalled. The installers are different from the repair people. The new icemaker did not work. Another repair person had to come out to the house and they told me I’m…

Worst Service on Refrigerator/Freezer.
We bought a second ice maker (actually in the top drawer of the freezer) to be installed in our new GE refrigerator/freezer. It’s now almost 7 weeks later! They’ve tried to install the ice maker 2 times and it still doesn’t work. We expect another crew tomorrow. This is the worst service from anywhere we’ve ever had! Still no working freezer ice maker!! This is ridiculous. No more household appliances from Best Buy.

Wrong Part Ordered
Sales associate ordered the wrong part number. Still awaiting correct item.

Can’t get it installed properly.
Does not work. Best Buy is trying for fourth time to install it. Should be a buying option and installed at manufacturer. If I had known, I would have bought another fridge.

Still no ice
Was very excited to have an additional ice maker. However this product was challenging to install. When we finally got it to work, it made one batch of ice. That was it though, just one batch. Trying to troubleshoot the issue, but still no luck.

Great GE Bottom Freezer Ice Maker
This is optional icemaker for my bottom freezer french door GE fridge that came with upper through the door ice maker. Installation went smooth but took about 2 hours. I found a good youtube video from GE with instructions for installation that was easier to understand than the paper instructions in the box. Once installed it is a great ice maker. And now when the upper maker runs out we have more in the bottom freezer.

Not a great ice maker yet
It took 3 days to make more than 18 ice cubes and now has stopped making ice cubes all together. The fridge that this was installed in is going back so maybe the next secondary ice make will work better - hoping.

Does not work. Having trouble getting it replaced.

I love having a 2nd ice-maker!
Having a 2nd ice-maker is wonderful though it took 3 visits to get it installed and working properly. The small amount of inconvenience was outweighed by the convenience of having a 2nd ice-maker.

Complaint
Honestly, this has been the install from hell! It has taken four teams of installers and two ice makers to get the maker in the refrigerator. It still has produced NO ice. This looking more and more like a defective refrigerator. We are very close to having BB come and pick it up.
