Wrong ice maker ordered
I don’t know if this product worked well, but it was the wrong icemaker for my refrigerator.

Was very disappointed
I got this and it worked well in the beginning but did not last even a year. I had to exchange it which was very easy hence the 3 star. That being said the 2nd one did not even last a couple of months. I decided to get a counter top sonic style ice machine.

Working Great do far!!
Purchased this to add ice making functionality to my Insignia fridge. This is the first time I completed such an installation. In my opinion the installation was pretty straightforward and relatively easy. After installation and the connection to the water line I turned it on and it went straight to work. It took about two days to fill the ice storage bin and we have more ice now than my family needs. Just open the freezer, use a scoop to get the ice you need. NO MANUAL FOR THE ACTUAL ICE MAKER IN BOX!!!
The actual ice maker kit that comes in the box is a Midea ice maker kit that is ”compatible” with insignia but doesn’t have the manual for the actual ice maker kit that comes in the box, but rather the one that should have. I am still waiting for them to send me a manual to understand how the reset and clean buttons work and how does ice maker knows when to stop making ice, or do I have to shut it off manually to stop it. I wouldn’t have purchased the refrigerator had I known that I was buying a ”compatible” ice maker.

Michael Rizzo
Not about the item; was supposed to deliver the refrigerator on the 10th and received a call that they had damaged it when processing to deliver so now it’s tentative to be delivered on the 19th!…not real happy!
