Features
- A fusion of leading technologies delivers overwhelming performance The massive volume of data from the 50.1 megapixel*1 full-frame Exmor RS image sensor is processed in real time by Sony’s BIONZ XR image processing engine. An advanced AI processing unit applies high-level subject recognition to reliably recognize a wide range of subjects.
- An advanced AI processing unit achieves high-level subject recognition The α1 II features a dedicated AI processing unit that helps to recognize people more accurately based on human pose estimation and supports recognition of a wide range of subjects other than people, such as animals, vehicles.
- Human eye recognition improved by up to approximately 30%*6 Real-time Recognition AF has improved human eye recognition by approximately 30%*6, and its human pose estimation technology also delivers precise recognition of subjects facing away from the camera, wearing sunglasses, or with the face obscured.
- A wide variety of subjects accurately recognized*7 A wider variety of subjects*7 is now recognized for stills and movies, with a new [Auto] mode letting the camera select. *8 Recognition of animals overall is improved by approximately 30%*6, with eyes of some small animals added, and the eyes, heads and faces of animals like dogs and cats recognized.
- AF tracking response settable to match subject speed changes Fast Hybrid AF combines phase detection and contrast detection for superb speed, precision and tracking performance. 759*10 phase-detection points cover 92% of the image sensor.
- Flexible focus area settings XL and XS focus area spot sizes are now available in addition to the existing L, M, and S. XS can be useful to avoid focusing on foreground objects such as branches. It is also possible to create a custom focus area of specified size and aspect ratio, useful in situations like a track event where athletes are lined up side-by-side and you want to focus on the leading runner.
- Selectable release time lag Selectable release time lag modes are available via the [Release Lag] / [Start Display] menu *16.
- High-speed continuous shooting at full 50.1 MP*1 resolution High-speed continuous shooting at up to 30 fps*2 with full AF/AE tracking is possible at a stunning 50.1 MP*1 resolution, with up to 120 AF/AE calculations per second*12 on the data from the image sensor.
- Pre-Capture and Continuous Shooting Speed Boost Pre-capture retroactively captures moments that occurred before the shutter was released*13, *14, without compromising resolution
- Stunning resolution with 50.1 megapixels*1 Sony’s extensive high-performance G Master line work with the 50.1 megapixel*1 Exmor RS image sensor and BIONZ XR image processing engine to create deep, lifelike, high-resolution rendering. The sensor’s high pixel count means that resolution is still a very impressive 21 megapixels (approx.) when shooting in APS-C mode or cropping to APS-C size after shooting.
- Selectable RAW image size and quality Compressed, Uncompressed, and high-compression Lossless compressed RAW still images are provided.
- High sensitivity, low noise, and wide dynamic range Feedback from professionals has been taken into account to create noise reduction that is highly effective without sacrificing image detail

Amazing Camera, All In One!!
The Sony Alpha 1 II is actually ridiculous in the best way possible. The autofocus locks on like it can read minds, the low light performance is insanely clean, and the detail coming out of this thing is unreal. Street photography, sports, portraits, night shots… it just cooks in every situation. Feels less like a camera and more like cheating. Sony really made a monster with this one.

Fantastic camera
My grail camera. I pair it with my 7RV but prefer the A1 when we go hiking.

Check it out guys
Best of the best!! Im really recommend this camera.

Great camera but expensive
Overall, I am impressed with the camera. I have the Mark I and it was great, but the autofocus is a lot better on the Mark II (especially for birds). The fact that the LCD screen will finally swivel is also worth the upgrade itself (if you do landscapes from down low). The price is the only negative. It is clearly more than the equivalent cameras from the other main manufacturers. I am invested in Sony, so will stick with it—but I can’t say the high price is worth it for someone that is not already down the Sony rabbit hole with a lot of lenses.

Autofocus BEAST!
[Employee of bestbuy] This literally takes all the best qualities from the A7RV and A9iii and takes it up a notch. This will be my forever camera until it needs replacement years down the line. It has been fantastic for shooting photos/videos at weddings, sporting events, and also for family photos. I wish the body was slightly larger to accommodate people with larger hands but not a big deal as the VG-C5 battery grip takes care of that issue.

Sony A1 MKII is everything I was hoping for!
This gives me everything I missed on the original A1. In saying that the original A1 which I still own as well is a fantastic camera too. I can highly recommend either camera.

Great flagship camera, Sony offers anything you co
Sony offers a little bit for everyone and this sits at the top of the pile. Shooting sports or high speed action? Get the A9 III with the global shutter and 120 fps. Shooting high detail product photos or studio sessions? The A7R V is perfect. Just getting started or looking for a budget back up? The A7 IV is the gateway drug. But if you’re looking for the best of them all? Look no further than the A1 II. It offers high speed 30 fps shooting, stacked 50mp sensor and what I feel is the best AF/AE tracking. My only complaint isn’t about the camera but Best Buy. I checked everyday since December…

Best Camera ive ever owned
Ive owned the Sony AII, A7RIII, A7IV, and A7SIII and this has been by far the best out of all of those camersa thag I have owned. From what its capable of to the way it feels in the hand. It just feels like a premium camera. As it should for it being the flagship and the cost of this camera.
