INCREDIBLE MARANTZ CINEMA 40 A/V RECEIVER
Manufactured in the Shirakawa factory in Japan where the hi-end Marantz audio/video separate processors and amplifiers are made, the Cinema 40 has higher quality parts and is assembled by their top technicians. The Cinema 40 has 9 separate channels at 125 watts RMS: 9 separate amplifier circuit boards bolted to a massive heat sink. This expensive design produces sound quality that is truly amazing. I am hearing things on my CD collection that I didn’t know were even there: a tremendous increase in clarity and definition from my Paradigm Reference Studio 100 v5 main speakers, Studio CC-590 v5…

Absolute banger!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Flagship AVR — Power, Precision, and Stunning Sound I upgraded to the Marantz Cinema 40 to drive a demanding home theater setup (MartinLogan L/C/R, DefTech surrounds, Focal 300 ICW8 Atmos, and a sub — Martin Logan Dynamo 500). This AVR didn’t just improve my system; it completely transformed it. Sound Quality — Clean, Warm, and Cinematic The Cinema 40 delivers that signature Marantz sound: detailed, smooth, and incredibly natural. My MartinLogans are very revealing speakers, and this AVR brings out their clarity without ever sounding harsh. Dialogue is crisp and anchored, even…

Outstanding AVR
I did a LOT of research before I completed this purchase. It comes with a hefty price tag so I wanted to get the finest AVR for my system that I could afford. I had been looking at lower end receivers with higher (and lower) power outputs, but then I went to Best Buy to their sound design room (terribly loud of a design room) and listened to my top two choices. This one was noticeably better sounding than the Cinema 50 (my other choice) especially when paired with the Bowers and Wilkins 700 series speakers. It was also noticeably better than its counterpart, the Denon line. This AVR comes…
