  • Inexpensive and Great

This is such an inexpensive standard lens to start with after the kit lens. Beautiful F1.8 capability and great shots. Great for understanding the full range of photography through a greater F Stop range.

  • Upgrade

I am use to the standard lense that comes with my camera and i thought it was time for an upgrade. Let me tell you the pictures looked crispy. My subject was clear and the back was the good amount of blurry. It was worth it.

  • Good prime with nice low f stop

For the price, this prime 50mm can’t be beat. The stm is nice and quiet. I have used much older EF lenses that are slow and loud. Shot an anniversary party and I got some of the best portraits I have ever taken. Focal length/ aperture is great. It can lead to a wide range of shots and styles. It has decent heft as well, which is good. Good stuff all around. If you don’t already have a good prime in your bag, this is the one to pickup.

  • Make sure you check Compatibility

I got the RF50 which is basically same thing but for the EOS RF and its like a 3x zoom portrait on iphone with tons of bocha. A bit too zoomed for indoor shots and having good lighting is very important. Works best out doors.

The focus and the pictures come out very clear and nice.

  • Easy to use and excellent lense

Perfect for ease of use and great portraits and flower pics. Mid range as well depending on what you are shooting.

  • Great lens!

Really good lens that I used on a subpar body (Canon Rebel T7). I used it for a lot of lowlight concert photography and the shots came out really great and clear!
