GE Cafe Refrig. unreliable & Lack of GE support
I’m very disappointed with the GE Café Refrigerator (Model CVE28DP2NBS1). Within two years, the compressor failed twice. GE replaced the compressor the first time, but it broke again within 3 months. After the second breakdown, they only offered a small discount on a new unit instead of a replacement for the refrigerator. They expect us to BUY a new refrigerator within 2 years of a HIGH END CAFÉ Purchase. For a high-end model, this lack of durability and support is unacceptable. Compressor issues are apparently common with this line, so I expected GE to take responsibility. Sadly, I can’t…

Best Buy is a nightmare to deal with
I am posting this review of Best Buy here because they are no other avenues to have someone address my issue. I ordered this refrigerator in December of 2023. It was backordered until May of 2024. One delivery day, I noticed that there was a sizeable ding in the side of the fridge near the bottom. This was not acceptable on a new $4000 fridge. The delivery person put me in touch with Best Buy ”Product Resolution” while they were still in the process of installing the fridge. The Best Buy Product Resolution person said that we could either have the delivery people take the fridge back and…

Tm
The refrigerator was not connected to the dispenser pipe, and the refrigerator was left in the middle of the kitchen. Next, the washing machine was left in the middle of the kitchen. Despite installation is free. The brand new linoleum was broken under the refrigerator, The frame of the apartment was damaged. The wall of the apartment was damaged. The middle part of refrigerator chiller is crashed

Water filters are outrageously expensive!!!!!
Beware that that water filters are chipped to reject reasonably priced generics. $50 vs. $11 twice per year is a scam. I thought highly of GE until I saw the price of a XWFE which is the exact same thing as a normally priced XWF cartridge but they charge $40 extra for a $0.30 chip that is under the label. I bought a washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven and fridge all in one go and would have picked another brand if I’d known they were trying to lock down consumables like this. Total bate and switch.
