Bowers & Wilkins - 704 S3 Floorstanding Speaker with 1" Tweeter and Two 5" Bass drivers (Each) - Gloss Black

Features

• Carbon Dome Tweeter Carbon Dome tweeters deliver a dramatic improvementon the aluminium double dome tweeter, raising the breakup threshold to 47kHz, for pinpoint imaging accuracy and detail. The closest performance to our Diamond Dome Tweeters.
• Continuum Cone Continuum is a woven composite that blends control with flexibility. The result is breathtaking clarity. Hear voices, guitars and bass instruments with precision and transparency.
• Biomimetic Suspension Biomimetic Suspension revolutionises midrange cone performance by greatly reducing the unwanted air pressure and coloration that a conventional fabric spider can generate. The result? Midrange transparency you wouldn’t believe possible.
• Decoupled Midrange The Continuum midrange driver is mounted on a shock absorber, ensuring minimal interference from the operation of the loudspeaker’s bass drivers. Less noise means greater clarity.
• Aerofoil Bass Advanced computer modeling carbon fiber and a syntactic core are used to produce a cone with maximum stiffness where it’s needed most. This optimised shape means the cone displays pistonic behaviour further up the audible range, producing precise, controlled and utterly lifelike bass.
• Curved Baffle This allows the midrange and bass drivers to be located in individual housings that sit proud of the speaker baffle. When combined with the curvature of the structure, this new approach reduces the audible impact of the cabinet, creating a cleaner, more open and more immersive sound.
• Finishes This model is available in Gloss Black, Mocha and Satin White.
• Magnetic Grills Each model includes magnetic speaker grills.
• Step up from 704S3 Looking for a performance step up? The 703 S3 offers our Solid Body Tweeter housing on top of the cabinet for a more holographic sound. Bass drivers increase in size to 6.5" for greater bass power and weight.
