• Excellent sound and comfort

  The YouTube reviews from the audiphile community almost universally praise the HD550 and my experience has been the same. They are very light weight with just enough clamp force so that long listening sessions are comfortable. Tuning is said to be HD650 with bass. I got mine open box while on sale - no better value for open back headphones.

  Use these with chord mojo 2 or dragonfly cobalt for music or plugged directly into the dualsense controller on ps5 pro. They sound really good. I am very happy.

• Sennheiser HD 550

  These Headphones are my all around go to when Im wanting personal listening, or respecting others quiot space. They sound fantastic with all genres. Additionally accompanied with a aftermarket mic. Work really well with gaming. Highly recommend!!!

• really solid but not quite what I expected

  With these branded with higher bass and treble (so more of a V sound), while they were a bit more so compared to the 560s these replaced, they were still a bit lacking. Especially compared to a pair of ATH R50x, these were still a bit too reference for me (this is a me issue more than an issue with the headset). My only complaint is the labeling of it being more bass heavy and it not being the uptick in price.

• Another Solid Pair From Sennheiser But That’s All

  It’s solid but not exactly breaking new ground for Sennheiser. If you liked some of their other offerings, you’ll like this. However, if you have some of their other offerings already, there isn’t really a reason to own this.

• A fantastic pair of open back headphones

  These are an excellent pair of open-back headphones, with a neutral but still fun sound profile. They have a little more sub-bass than the 600 series, and less clamping force which I think makes them a better choice for the average person. The clarity and soundstage are so much better than the standard consumer headphones like Bose or Sony ANC wireless options. I didn’t realize how much detail I was losing out on in my music, and I have headphones on for 6-8 hours a day. • Great headphones, average build quality.

  Sennheiser continues to impress with the sound quality and comfort of their 5xx series headphones. These sound super detailed, and yet warm enough to enjoy general music and gaming. The only issue that continues to be a thing, is that the build quality just feels cheap for what isn’t a cheap pair of headphones. I wish sennheiser could focus a bit of energy adding metal/aluminum in certain places to give their products a more premium feel.

• Game Changer for Music and Gaming

  Paired the 550’s with a Fosi Audio K7 DAC and I tell you after listening to my first song and switching back to my previous gaming headset my jaw hit the floor. Music has never sounded better! For gaming I knew I had a winner when I was calling out an enemy position and my friends could not hear what I was picking up. You can’t go wrong with these open back headphones!!
