Great ice maker for the money and fast and efficient too. Caveat is you have to do a cleaning cycle every 100 uses but overall a great ice maker and kitchen gadget to have.

Great Nugget Ice Maker and Very Convenient The GE Profile Opal 1.0 Nugget Ice Maker is a great addition to the kitchen. It makes soft, chewable nugget ice that tastes great and is perfect for drinks. The side tank is very convenient because it helps the machine keep making ice without needing to refill it as often. Setup was simple, and the machine looks nice on the counter with its black finish. It makes ice fairly quickly, and the ice texture is much better than standard freezer ice. It is especially nice for water, iced coffee, soda, and other cold drinks. Possible health WARNING!!!!
Ice tastes bad - metallic taste. Water in reservoir where ice melts and recirculates is dark and nasty looking even if machine is cleaned daily. A metallic looking residue is found in reservoir when emptied and wiping it out. (I only used filtered or distilled water.) Noisy, takes forever to make ice, and leaks. Mine quit working in less than a year. The only good thing about this product was the Best Buy protection plan.

Performed well up until when it stopped working at 18 months, outside of the warranty.

This product is terrible. I clean to every other week and it will still stop making ice. I have trouble shooted everything. DO NOT BUY this junk. It is also extremely loud when it is working (rarely works after 6 months).
