This brand new ge microwave is junk. Fan makes noise and the touch pad has bubbles in it! I won’t buy another ge product.

Replaced Microwave with updated model
We were disappointed when our first GE over-the-range microwave quit after only 6 years. It had had one major repair. We always liked the way it worked though. Slate color is very hard to find and we had purchased the GE suite in slate. We ordered the updated version of the same microwave. Installation was a bit tricky as they had changed the brackets and the fan had to be moved as we vent through the roof. Once installed it looked great and fit very well. The handle doesn’t feel as sturdy and the closing latch sounds kind of weak. We had seen reviews noting the handle didn’t hold up. Keeping…

1st one lasted 5 yrs, 2nd one lasted 2 yrs...
When it works, it does the job. Problem is the first one lasted about 5 years which is just OK. For the price of this, it’s not worth a $100 service call and THEN parts $. I ordered another one just like it which lasted 2 years to the day. Very disappointing. I only purchased the same brand that second time figuring the install would be easier which is was. This 3rd time I said NO and bought an LG model. These OTR unit are all pretty standard as far as size and they often use the exact same mounting hardware which is what I found with GE and LG.

I’ve always had ge microwaves because they had the 30 second button you could select. Love the finish on this one and still working great!

GE slate microwave
So far I love my GE microwave. It matches my refrigerator perfectly. Have not had any performance issues as of yet but it’s only been about a month in a half. The display is nice and bright .

Great microwave
This is a replacement microwave for the one that stopped working. They are both GE. The last one lasted 10 years. It was easy to have it installed. Fit perfectly in the spot.

Buyer Beware
Bought a new microwave…was sent a used one that was completely full of grease and gross. Returned it and they ordered a new one for me and then canceled my order the following day. Their advice to me was buy a different microwave, use it and send it back once other one gets there. Buyer beware when shopping at Best Buy.
