This page covers major appliances fulfilled by Best Buy. They are delivered to your home on a scheduled day rather than shipped in a box.

Your delivery cost is calculated at checkout, before you pay, once we know where the appliance is going. Appliance home delivery is not covered by our free shipping, which applies to standard shipping on qualifying orders — see free shipping.

What delivery includes

  • Unboxing, an inspection, and taking the packaging away.
  • Bringing the appliance up to the third floor, or any floor with a working elevator.

Air conditioners are the exception: they ship by carrier and arrive boxed.

Installation

  • Available for most appliances, and shown on the product page for the appliance you are buying.
  • Many installations need new parts — a water line kit, fill hoses, a power cord, a vent kit or a gas connector. Where a kit is required, it is named with the installation option on the product page.
  • Gas installations need a licensed installer, and what is available depends on your area.
  • Installation work carries a 90-day workmanship warranty.

Taking away your old appliance

  • Available when you buy a replacement, and shown on the product page.
  • You may need to disconnect the old appliance first. Removing a gas appliance can need a licensed professional.

Before delivery day

  • An adult must be home — 18 or older (19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Puerto Rico).
  • Empty the appliance being replaced.
  • Clear a path from the street to where it's going.
  • Make sure the water and gas shut-off valves are reachable and working.
  • A refrigerator with an ice or water dispenser needs a water source within 20 feet.

What can't be done

  • Range hoods and downdrafts can't have their venting direction changed, and side or crawl-space venting can't be installed.
  • Through-the-wall air conditioners aren't installed.
