I purchased one that came defective, they switched for me and the new one has been working fine.

Changing light bulbs is a nightmare!
While the hood is great - replacing the light bulbs is a nightmare. Best Buy service won’t do it for you and I tried to get an appliance repair service - 2 would not do it for less than $300. So I watched the youtube video. What Windster youtube shows is how to change the light bulbs if the fan is NOT installed. If it’s installed, you have to find a way to prop up the glass hood to access and unscrew plates under the glass to access lightbulbs. Someone online suggested paper towels. Yes, that worked...but it was a herculean effort.

Great looking but too loud
Great looking, got alot of compliments, but it is very loud and i don’t think it takes all the smell out

Changing light bulbs is a big repair job
I’ve had this hood for 3 years and love it, but I have one complaint: In 3 years I’ve had to replace the light bulbs twice. That requires disassembling the whole hood (which is a pretty heavy task) or getting an appliance repairman out. Changing a light blub should not be this hard!

The hood works well. I’m satisfied with the product. It looks great in our kitchen. The one thing I don’t care for is to turn off the fan you have to turn off the light at the same time.
