Great SSD
I love the Samsung t7, great speed for video editing, and it’s so small and compact. Sucks the price of ssd sky rocketed this year otherwise I would buy 2 more

These are great! - Fast, low profile!
Easy to setup and use with my mac laptop. What a difference over spinning disks! Highly recommend!

External hard drive; compact; large capacity
Very compact, solid state, large capacity. I use this to back up all my files, including documents, music files, photos, etc. If I ever need to, would be easy to disconnect and have everything with me.

T7 SSD Broke
I bought a 4TB SSD. It runs very hot. It worked nicely for 1.5 years. Given how expensive it is. It is not good value. Perhaps lower capacity ones might last longer. I have 2 TB T5 for years. That is still going.

Worth it
Fast, doesn’t take up space, reliable, and trustworthy brand. Connected to my PS5 as an external hard drive, it works perfectly. I can move games around in a matter of minutes.
-
Decent transfer speed
Decent transfer speeds, 4 TB is manageable when backing up some raw footage from an ARRI camera. I work in film production.

These drives are no longer reliable
I have used T7’s numerous times in the past for work. Recently, every new one my company and I have bought crash and corrupt immediately after the first use. If you are looking to purchase a drive for anything important, do not buy these as you will most likely have to return.
