  • Flimsy lid, cheap drawer, deafeningly loud –beware

    Bought this compact top-load washer because I needed something that would fit in my small washer/dryer area of my home. Got it delivered and installed this morning… and after only three loads I’m already mad I didn’t return it on the spot. The lid is an absolute joke. It’s a super thin, flimsy piece of plastic that folds in half like a cheap laptop screen. Every time I open it to put clothes in or take them out it flops around, gets in the way, and feels like it’s going to break the first time I sneeze on it. Super clumsy and awkward – worst lid design I’ve ever used. The detergent/softener…

    So far this washer is great, cleans the laundry. I would have given it 5 stars, but, the softener dispenser blocks up all of the time, and does not dispense the softener.

    I owned my first one for 18 months and the spin cycle went out. I do 1 to 2 loads of laundry a day. Due to limited laundry area I do not have much choice. So I purchased a second one. Within 11 months the washer drum started to squeak. Thinking this washing machine may be for those who do a load of laundry every other week.

    Washing machines, like BigMacs have gotten bigger. This was one of a few machines that fit in our laundry room. The tub, without agitator, holds a surprising amount of clothing. Two things: It is louder than our previous machine ( Fisher/Paykel) and there is no way to change spin speed.

    I spent so much time finding the right size for a small space and this fits so well. However, I have had constant issues with it. No matter the load size the balance seems to be thrown off. I have a water valve issue now. It’s very slow to size up a load and actually start.
